Using Brian Andreas’ work as a model, create your own storypeople inspired piece. Take the following into consideration:
-if someone were to ask you, “put into words a secret map of your world” what would you say?
-listen for the “whisper of a beginning” of your work & listen until it’s loud enough for you to write it down
-start big & move small. Write a story of 250 words. Edit it down to 100 words. Edit that copy down to 50 words. Edit that copy down to 25 words. You now have the core of what you want to say.
-BE YOURSELF. BE CREATIVE. TAKE RISKS.
here’s mine:
the minute she saw his face the seed of love was planted in her heart & he knew even though he was born a thousand miles away his soul had found a home.
have fun!

As I lifted my eyes, the woman said,
“Keep your head held high, honey.
It’s easier to breathe above water than below.”
I guess she didn’t realize this wasn’t supposed to be easy;
it was all about sacrifice.

If you judge your life by what you have done for yourself, you will never be satisfied. If you judge your life by what you have done for others, you will never be dissappointed.

What is with kids nowadays? they said & she said Have you ever asked them? & everyone stopped & looked at each other & it was quiet for a moment. Finally, someone said Well, nobody ever asked us either & that was enough so they could start talking & being righteous all over again.
I’m so glad to see the wisdom & passion & laughter you all bring to the world here. Well done to all of you…
with love, Brian
